An Evening Under the Stars
Come be part of a fantastic evening featuring wine and micro-brew tastings, live and silent auctions, exciting raffles, and delicious hors d'oeuvres—all while supporting the Newman Fall Festival! Held at the Newman Downtown Plaza (1328 Main Street), tickets are $45/person and the event is for guests aged 21 and over. This popular event often sells out quickly, so be sure to secure your tickets early! Check out our Facebook or Instagram for more information.
Volleyball Tournament
Sign-ups start at 8:30 AM at Densmore Park. Teams will be divided into upper and lower divisions. The entry fee is $10/person, which includes a commemorative t-shirt (while supplies last). For more details, contact Kiyo Yamamoto at 209.862.0620.
Baking Contest Drop-Off
Submit your delectable creations at the L.J. Newman Memorial Center (649 Orestimba Road). Participants are invited to bring their best baked goods to be judged. Whether you’ve perfected a pie, mastered a cake, or baked a batch of irresistible cookies, this is your chance to shine.

All park booths open for business in Pioneer Park. Sounds in Motion will be providing musical entertainment throughout the weekend at the Pioneer Park Gazebo Stage.
Cruzin' Critters
Held at the Pioneer Park Gazebo Stage, this engaging and entertaining event features a dynamic showcase of fascinating animals, including exotic and unusual critters. Watch as expert handlers introduce you to a variety of creatures, sharing interesting facts and stories about each one.
Kid's Zone
Hosted by the City of Newman Recreation Department at the center of Pioneer Park, the Kid's Zone offers a number of exhilarating activities for kids of all ages. Expect creative crafts, interactive games, and much more, all designed for endless fun and engagement.
Pets on Parade
Each pet will have the opportunity to shine as their unique qualities are highlighted and celebrated on the Pioneer Park Gazebo Stage. Owners are encouraged to bring their pets’ best smiles and distinctive traits for a chance to impress the judges and win special awards.
Fire Obstacle Course & Fire Truck Rides
Experience excitement with the Newman Fire Department on Fresno Street, between Q and R Streets. Test your agility through a challenging fire-themed obstacle course. After conquering the course, enjoy a memorable ride on a real fire truck! Get an up-close look at fire-fighting equipment and learn about the crucial work of our brave firefighters.

Face Painting & Balloon Twisting
Watch as Rockie's Faces, on the Pioneer Park Gazebo Stage, transforms faces with colorful and creative designs, from playful animals to fantasy characters, in addition to crafting amazing shapes and figures with balloons that will bring smiles to kids and adults alike.
Lucha Libre (Wrestling)
Watch as professional luchadores take to the ring, set up in Pioneer Park, delivering thrilling matches full of dynamic moves, colorful costumes, and dramatic showdowns. Whether you’re a die-hard fan or new to the world of Lucha Libre, this action-packed event offers a unique and exhilarating experience for all.
NCLUSD Musical Theatre Department
This talented group of students, on the Pioneer Park Gazebo Stage, will entertain with a selection of hit songs from popular musicals and classic favorites. Their vibrant voices and engaging stage presence promise to deliver an enjoyable and memorable experience.
Little Mr. & Miss Newman Pageant and Miss Newman Pageant
Experience the charm and charisma of our Little Mr. & Miss Newman contestants as they captivate you with their dances, playful answers to questions, and delightful interviews. Following this, enjoy watching our Miss Newman contestants demonstrate their talents in public speaking, community representation, and performance. Both pageants will take place on the Pioneer Park Gazebo Stage, offering a fantastic opportunity to support and cheer on our future leaders while enjoying a memorable event with your community.
Kid's Dance Party
Open to kids of all ages, this energetic event invites everyone to dance the night away under the stars at the Pioneer Park Gazebo Stage. With lively music and lots of space to groove, it's the perfect way to celebrate and enjoy the evening.
